摘要

Abstract

The aim of this research is to provide a new examination tool for clinicians to estimate the risk of metastasis of colorectal cancer which may affect the therapeutic process. We ifrstly combined the radially polarized laser and surface plasmon microscope with sub-micrometer resolution for colorectal cancer sensing. The spatial resolution could achieve 800 nm and the refractive index resolution was 10-4. This system could be used in the detection of placental growth factor with concentration lower than 250 pg/mL. This factor had been proved to be an important marker for colorectal cancer metastasis. Besides, we have also designed a surface plasmon chip in sensingKRAS gene mutation. A PNA clamp SMAP-2 assay was used with portable surface plasmon sensing system with plastic biochip, which allowed us to successfully identify the mutation type from wild type KRASgene within 30 min.
