Abstract
Objective:To explore the serum expression of inflammatory cytokines interleukin‐1β(IL‐1β) ,interleukin‐6 (IL‐6) and cyclooxygenase‐2(COX‐2) in patients with osteoarthritis .Methods :Seventy‐two patients with osteoarthritis ,who were admitted to Gout Department of Shanghai Guanghua Hospital ,were selected and divided into disease group and cure group .In the same period ,twenty healthy individuals ,who had no osteoarthritis and severe disease in other systems ,were set as control group .Blood sampling and serum separation were conducted in each group . And the serum expression of inflammatory cytokines IL‐1β,IL‐6 ,and COX‐2 in osteoarthritis patients was determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay .Results:In osteoarthritis patients , inflammatory cytokines IL‐1β, IL‐6 and COX‐2 presented a tendency of high expression . The expression levels of IL‐1β,IL‐6 and COX‐2 in diseased group were higher than those in control group and cure group (P<0 .01) .Conclusions :The inflammatory cytokines present high expression in patients with osteoarthritis and the expression decrease after cure .IL‐1β,IL‐6 and COX‐2 can be used as clinical diagnostic and therapeutic index of osteoarthritis .关键词
