Risk Factors Analysis of Severity and Progression of Patients with Basilar Artery Occlusion
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the risk factors affecting severity and progression of patients with basilar ar-tery occlusion ( BAO) in order to provide help for the development prediction and treatment of the disease. Methods Clinical data of 127 patients confirmed as having BAO was retrospectively analyzed, and the patients were divided into se-vere stroke group (n=58) and mild-moderate stroke group (n=69). Patients were also divided into aggravation group (n=73) and non aggravation group (n=54). The risk factors were analyzed using single factor and multiple factors lo-gistic regression analysis methods. Results In severe stroke group, the numbers of male, smoking history and ferves-cence rate upon admission were higher (P<0. 05), while number of patients with cerebral infarction history was lower than those in mild-moderate stroke group (P<0. 05). The smoking history and fervescence upon admission were the in-dependent risk factors affecting severity of patient's conditions upon admission, and the odd ratio ( OR) value of severity were 0. 405 and 0. 070 respectively, and corresponding 95% confidence intervals were (0. 182, 0. 902) and (0. 020, 0. 242) respectively. Incidence of prodromal symptom before the pathogenesy was the significant protection factor affect-ing severity of patient 's conditions after admission, and the OR value was 0. 435, and 95% confidence interval was (0. 212, 0. 894). Conclusion The factors affecting severity and progression of BAO patients are analyzed in this study, and related risk and protection factors are identified, which may be helpful for prediction and treatment of BAO patients.关键词
