Abstract

Track geometric irregularity has a huge effect on running stationarity and riding comfort of high-speed railway. Track quality index is the main method for evaluating smoothness condition of track geometric regularity sections, whose value is greatly influenced by calculation length. This study explored the management methods and management length of track geometric irregularities sections. By use of data from the comprehensive inspect-ing train, it analyzed statistical characteristics of track irregularity in different calculation length, and the corre-lation between section half peak and standard deviation. It finally concluded the range of calculation length for high-speed railway ballastless track is 100-150 m, and the recommended value is 100 m.
