Abstract
A new ranging method based on improved spotlight is proposed to satisfy the need of simplification of system model, reduce the cost of the system. According to the characteristics of a dark environment, the method utilizes lens to improve the edge of the spotlight, and utilizes variable threshold to achieve the edge of the white light, then determines the focus position of white light by the circle centroid closest approach, and calculates the distance with optical triangula-tion method. The experiments prove that the method is different from the laser and sensor ranging, which can handle less precision complex background ranging task fast. The spotlight can provide light to camera in dark environments, and the camera can access scene color, object detail information in the space.关键词
