摘要

Abstract

Event ontology design pattern (EODP) is a solution to facilitate event ontology development, and to help reducing arbitrariness design and avoiding the same mistakes in the modeling process. This paper firstly proposes a general event model structure for the representation of general event information on Web, without making assump-tions about the domain-specific vocabularies used. And then, this paper presents the concept of EODP and the devel-opment method of EODP, by which an environment pollution event ontology pattern is proposed based on shared vocabulary. At last, this paper discusses the formalization of the environment pollution event ontology pattern by using the description logic, which verifies the effectiveness and concept-consistency while modeling domain ontology by using the event ontology pattern.
