摘要

Abstract

A new nickel(II) complex ,[Ni(ser‐sal)(phen)(CH3 OH)] (ser‐sal = Schiff base derived from L‐serine and salicylaldehyde ,phen=1 ,10‐phenanthroline) ,has been synthesized and characterized by IR spectrum and elemental analyses .The crystal structure has been determined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction a‐nalysis .It showed that the complex belongs to monoclinic crystal system ,C2/c space group with the cell parameters :a=26 .040(2) Å ,b=15 .110 1(13) Å ,c=11 .592 0(9) Å ,α=90° ,β=107 .128(2)° ,γ=90° ,V =4 358 .8(6) Å3 ,Z=8 , F(000)=1 984 ,R1 =0 .078 5 ,w R2 =0 .204 0 .In the crystal ,a 2D net‐work structure was formed by intermolecular hydrogen bonds .The interaction of the nickel(Ⅱ ) com‐plex with calf thymus DNA (CT‐DNA) has been studied by UV absorption ,fluorescence and circular di‐chroism(CD) spectra .The results indicate that the complex can bind to CT‐DNA in a intercalative mode with a binding constant Kb of 7 .8 × 104 L · mol-1 and a fluorescence quenching constant Ksq of 0 .91 .
