Abstract
Objective By comparing the amount of DNA and RNA oxidative damage detected in human gastric mucosa of helicobacter pylori infected individuals with that of a matched population control.To explore the effects of oxi-dation in Hp related gastric cancer.Methods The gastric mucosa of 60 patients,30 of patients with and 30 of patients without Helicobacter pylori,were collected and examined via immunohistochemistry.DNA and RNA oxidative damage were detected and analyzed.Results The level of RNA oxidation was significantly higher in patients with Hp(OD =0. 117 ±0.015)than the controls(OD =0.073 ±0.012)(P <0.05).DNA oxidation was higher in the Hp group as well, but without statistical significance(P >0.05).Conclusion The increased level of RNA oxidation in Hp infected indi-viduals may be involved in the underlying mechanism of Hp related gastric cancer.关键词
