Abstract
Citation analysis is a frequently used method of bibliometrics. Commonly, citation analysis is for all documents or cross-cita-tion analysis. It is suggested in this paper that content analysis be incorporated into cross-citation analysis. Using 10 representative periodi-cals of informatics as an example, including information metrology, information management, information economics, econometrics and information management, using the SCI database in the Web of Science, the study explores the relationships between these journals, and via drawing information science journals knowledge mapping based on the content analysis, the paper conducts a research on the knowledge flow and research branch in the field of informatics. Results show that the knowledge flows among informatics journals are frequent, and extend towards branches such as management, data statistics, technology and information.关键词
