摘要
Abstract
Purpose/significance] In the network environment, a library is a system mechanism providing the information resources and services. In order to ensure users to obtain what they need, library should follow some standards and/or specifications in the process of or-ganizing its resources, such as the bibliography standards, metadata standards, resources descriptions schema, etc. Although Chinese standardization administration, libraries, and other related organizations have established a considerable amount of information organization standards, there are still some problems, such as the lack of the awareness of the importance of the standards and the insufficient mecha-nism in the standards management and maintenance. [ Method/process] This article collected the standards of ISO、ANSI、BSI、IFLA、DC-MI、W3C and SAC in the area of information organization, then compared all the standards from the quantity, release time and contents. [ Result/Conclusion] The paper disclosed some problems existing in the area of information organization, such as insufficient study, poor authority and imbalanced content ratio and so on. At the same time, it is suggested that China should establish standards tracking mecha-nism, strengthen research in information organization and participate more actively in international standardization activities.关键词
