Abstract
Objective:To explore the curative effect of kidney-supplementing blood-quickening Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis and to analyze its mechanism.Methods:103patients with knee osteoarthritis who were treated in our hospital during January 2012to March 2015were taken as the research objects and were divided into the observation group (n =52) and the controlled group (n =51).The controlled group was treated with arthroscopic debridement while the observation group was treated with the kidney-supplementing blood-quickening method on the basis of the controlled group.VAS scores of pain,swelling and stiffness,the total effective rate,the TNF-αand IL-1 levels were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:Before the treatment,the comparisons of VAS scores of pain,swelling and stiffness,the TNF-αand IL-1levels in the two groups were not statistically significant (P＞0.05).The two groups were improved after treatment.The symptom scores and TNF-α and IL-1 levels decreased.The before and after differences within group were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Besides,the symptom scores and TNF-αand IL-11evels in the observation group were lower than those in the controlled group and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05),which indicated that the decrease in the observation group was greater.The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.2％ (50/52),which was significantly higher than 82.3％ (42/51) of the controlled group and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Kidney-supplementing blood-quickening Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is of satisfactory effect.Through tonifying the liver and kidney,promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,promoting Qi circulation and relieving pain,clearing and activating the channels and collaterals,the symptoms such as pain,swelling,stiffness and others can be alleviated and inflammation can be inhibited.The clinical reference and promotion value is greater.关键词
