到目前为止，国内外只有两位译者系统地对孟浩然的诗歌进行了翻译。通过比读保罗·克罗尔的译著《孟浩然》与David Hinton的译著《孟浩然山水诗歌》，重点分析了二者在翻译标准、翻译风格和意境再现方面的异同。通过对译文进行了对比研究，解释翻译目的对译者翻译策略选择的重要意义。
