Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of ribavirin combined with Xiyanping for the treatment of pediatric hand-foot-mouth disease. Methods A total of 96 cases of children with hand-foot-mouth disease admitted to our hospital from January 2014 to January 2015 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 48 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with ribavirin combined with Xiyanping, while the control group was treated with ribavirin alone. The clinical effects, time for body temperature recovering, time for erythema and herpes disappeared, time for appetite improved, and length of hospital stay were observed and compared between two groups. Results The total effective rate of observation group was 97.92%, significantly higher than 87.50%of control group, with statistical difference (P <0.05). The clinical indices of observation group were significantly better than those of control group, with statistical difference (P <0.05). Conclusions The combined therapy of ribavirin and Xiyanping has significant clinical effect for the treatment of pediatric hand-foot-mouth disease, which can obviously improve the clinical symptoms, and shorten the healing time.关键词
