摘要

Abstract

In application fields like variable speed constant frequency electric generation, the brushless doubly fed generator (BDFG)system has great advantages such as the small capacity of inverters, high efficiency and high reliability. The electromagnetic mathematical model of BDFG was established based on the basic principle of wound rotor BDFG. From this model, it could be seen that the current of the control winding affects the voltage of the power winding directly. So the current close-loop control method should be adopted. When the excitation current component was ignored, the current magnitude of the control winding and the power winding were equal approximately. This could be used as the basis for the design of the outer voltage loop. An independent generation control algorithm of BDFG was presented in this paper whether the position sensors exist or not, and the output voltage could be controlled effectively using the presented method. A 64kVA 4/8 pole wound rotor BDFG system was made and studied experimentally. The feasibility of the proposed sensorless control method is proved by experimental results.
