Abstract
Objective To evaluate the differences of Bolton’s anterior and overall ratios in Angle classⅢ malocclusion patients with different facial vertical skeletal patterns.Methods 150 skeletal classⅢ subjects were involved in this study. According to skeletal vertical type, the samples were assigned to 3 groups: average facial type, long facial type, short facial type. Each group consisted of 50 subjects. The mesio-distal width from left ifrst molar to right ifrst molar was measured.Bolton anterior and overall ratios were calculated, t test and ANOVA were performed for statistical analysis with SPSS17.0 software package. Results No statistically signiifcant sex difference was found in anterior or overall ratio in any group. No signiifcant difference in all ratios between average facial type and long facial type were noted. Signiifcant difference was found for all ratios between short facial type and average facial type, so with long facial type.Conclusion The mean anterior and overall ratios for short facial type are greater than those for average and long facial types.关键词
