摘要

Abstract

Arms of a hybrid modular multilevel converter(MMC) consists of both half bridge submodules (HBSMs) and full bridge submodules (FBSMs).The original phase shifted carrier (PSC) modulation method is j ust inapplicable.Based on an analysis of the working principle of hybrid MMC topology and its modulating method,a PSC modulating method with capacitor voltage balancing strategy for hybrid MMC is proposed.Finally,a detailed simulation model based on PSCAD/EMTDC is developed.The modulating method proposed is proved effective by simulation results.
