The Relationship Between Market and Government in the Industrial Structure Adjustment
摘要
Abstract
There are two conventional opinions about the industrial structure and industrial policies.One is that the government should lay out the industrial structure,while the other insists that the market is dominant,which leads to different industrial policies.Industry is defined by product category,which means firms that produce the same kind of products form an industry.Though the firms and government may decide on the industry,the basic elements of industry are products and firms that produce them.Since the firms decide on their products according to the market price and the principle of profit,industry as an aggregation of firms could naturally be decided and regulated by the market price mechanism.Based on the market dominance,the government’s industrial policies and influence on the industrial structure should be changed.关键词
