Mental Health of Aging Population in Shandong Province and Its Influencing Factors

Abstract
Objective:To study the mental health of the elderly in Shandong Province and its influencing factors. Methods:Using the stratified random sampling method with the self-questionnaires and symptom checklist(SCL-90),Social Support Rating Scale to investigate 2013 olders(over 60 years old).The effective recovery was 2013 cop-ies,and the effective rate of questionnaires was 91.5%.Results:The factor scores of somatization(t=12.50,P<0.01),obsessive-compulsive symptoms(t=3.33,P<0.01),interpersonal sensitivity(t=9.00,P<0.01),depression (t=3.00,P<0.01),anxiety(t=5.56,P<0.01),hostility(t=12.29,P<0.01),paranoia(t=1.03,P<0.01)and psy-chotic (t=6.15,P<0.01)were higher than the national norm,multivariate analysis showed that education level(P<0.01),marital status(P<0.01),self-care ability(P<0.01),chronic type(P<0.01),subjective support(P<0.01), objective support(P<0.01)had a significant impact on elderly population in Shandong province with mental health problems.Conclusion:The status of mental health of aging population in Shandong province are not well and its in-flucing factors are complex,we should take measures to promote successful aging.关键词
