Abstract

In order to understand the degradation trends of the Yellow River delta wetland scientifically and protect the wetland, with remote sensing images of the Yellow River in delta wetland, through the landscape and type level, temporal and spatial characteristics of Hekou, Kenli, Lijin and Dongying four regional wetlands were analyzed. It selected six indicators ( including landscape patches, contagion index, shannon diversity index, shannon evenness index, landscape isolation and landscape degree of polymerization) to build evaluation index system of the Yellow River delta wetland degradation. Wetlands could be divided into five grades of no degradation, mild degradation, moderate degradation, severe degradation and extreme degradation. Using the comprehensive index method, the wetland degradation of four areas was assessed. The results show that the Hekou and Kenli are at the severe degradation stage, Lijin is at the mild degradation stage and Dongying is at moderate degradation stage. The research areas are degraded in different degrees.
