Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of psychological guidance and mental nursing on elderly patients with depression induced by disease. Methods 100 elderly patients with depression induced by disease who were treated in our hospital from April 2012 to April 2014 were selected and they were randomly allocated to the control group (routine nursing) and the observation group (psychological guidance and mental nursing), with 50 c in each. Results Before nursing intervention, self-rating depressive scale (SDS) and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) of patients had no significant difference. After nursing intervention, SDS and SAS of patients in two groups were both significantly decreased and decreasing degree of the observation group was better than that of the control group. The nursing satisfaction degree of the observation group was 94%, higher than that of the control group 72%. There was significant difference (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions of two groups had no significant difference (P > 0.05). Conclusion Psychological guidance and mental nursing for elderly patients with depression induced by disease can reduce occurrence of adverse events and protect patients' physical and mental health.关键词
