Abstract
Objective To explore the cause and nursing interventions of gastrointestinal dysfunction after thoracolumbar fractures. Methods 88 patients with thoracolumbar fracture who were admitted to our department from September 2013 to March 2015 were selected and they were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group. After hospitalization, 46 patients in the experimental group were received comprehensive nursing while 42 patients in the control group were received routine nursing in orthopedic department. Incidences and appearing time of abdominal distension and constipation of two groups were compared. Results Incidences of abdominal distension and constipation of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Appearing time of abdominal distension and constipation of the experimental group were significantly shorterr than those of the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing can reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal dysfunction in patients with thoracolumbar fracture, which is of important clinical significance in promoting the rehabilitation of patients and improving prognosis.关键词
