Abstract
Objective To study and explore the application value of external fixator in the treatments of trauma patients in orthopedics department.Methods 100 patients who suffered trauma from January 2010 to December 2014 in the orthopedics department of our hospital were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, 50 cases in each group. The control group received the traditional operation of open reduction and internal fixation, while the observation group received external fixator treatment. The excellent rates, operation time, blood loss during operation, length of stay, fracture healing time, complications, and life quality of the two groups were compared. ResultsIn the observation group, the excellent rate of clinical treatment was 76%, which was significantly higher than the 52% of the control group, (P<0.05), the operation time, length of stay, and fracture healing time were significantly shorter than that of the observation group (P<0.05), the amount of bleeding was significantly less than that of the control group, (P<0.05). The complication rate of observation group was 6%, which was significantly lower than the 22% of control group (P<0.05). The life quality scores of patients in observation group were (80.24±6.71), which were significantly higher than the (67.82±6.03) of the control group (P<0.05).ConclusionThe external fixator treatment has a significant clinical effect in the therapy of orthopedic trauma patients, which effectively shorten the operation time, quicken the postoperative recovery and healing rate, improve life qualities, and reduce the complication rates of patients.关键词
