摘要

Abstract

The coordinate system was used to represent the CATIA parts' position in assembly and the calculationof coordinate system transformation was described.Part template was used to mark the assembly feature of CATIA parts. A method for automatic assembling in CATIA based on coordinate system transformation was raised: using coordinate systems to represent parts' assembly feature, based on the transformation relationship between two coordinate systems, a transformation matrix that represents the moving of the part from original position to assembled position was calculated.Coordinate system that represents the assembled position of the part can be calculated via multiplying the part's original position coordinate system by the transformation matrix. And the automatic assembling was accomplished. This method can improve efifciency of assembling in CATIA.
