The Evolution Of Spatial Form Of Cultural Landscape：A Case Study Of West Lake In Hangzhou

Abstract
Cultural landscape is a product of nature and human. It exists with continuity and in (organic) evolution. As a new category of heritage, existing studies focus more on identifying and conserving cultural landscape. This paper looks at the dynamic character and evolution logic of cultural landscape. Using Hangzhou West Lake, a world heritage, as an example, and based upon historical records and on-site mapping, this paper restores and analyses the evolution of the (architectural) spatial form of West Lake and exposes the dynamic evolution mechanism and distinguishing essentiality.关键词
