Abstract
Green Economy is closely related to concepts like“low⁃carbon climate economy”, and is closely linked to green growth strategies. It seems to promise an attractive orientation out of the deep functioning and legitimation crisis of neoliberalism in Western countries, and proclaims as an approach to overcome the existing multiple crises. Given existing social structures, power relations and dominant political and economic strategies, I argue that the far⁃reaching goals of a Green Economy won��t be achieved. I argue that far⁃reaching obstacles to realize Green Economy are strong. Below it is shown that existing capitalist and imperial relations, trends like the growth orientation, related social and political forces to it, austerity politics in many countries, the strategy of strong developmentalism in other countries are such barriers. Furthermore, there is another obstacle which has been ignored: the long⁃lasting conception and practice of destructive societal nature relations, i.e. imperial mode of living.关键词
