Abstract
The hydraulic cylinder piston rod is a slender part and difficult to process.The paper analyzes basic charac-teristics of the piston rod,determines a reasonable procedure for processing the piston rod:alignment-rough turning-finish turning-accurate grinding-chroming-polishing.Based on processing sequence of the piston rod,the paper describes the spe-cific measures that can improve the processing precision in terms of clamping method,tool selection,and use of cutting flu-id,introduces measuring method for surface roughness of the piston rod,commonly used characterization parameters,and the method of monitoring the processing quality using surface appearance,and gives basic procedures for automatically de-tecting cladding defects considering any plating defects in piston rod such as chromium and hard spot after electroplating fin-ishing.关键词
