摘要
Abstract
The siege of Pingcheng exposed the internal division of the power group at the beginning of West Han dynasty and also caused the state to face two different policies, that is the civil officials prefer marriage policy toward the Huns, whereas the mili⁃tary officials prefer war. With the adoption of marriage policy, the political crisis of West Han dynasty is fully exposed, that is a huge dark area existing between the state policies and the private affairs. Wudi of Han dynasty decided to take up the war policy a⁃gainst the Huns indicates that he is hoping to overcome the internal political crisis of the empire.关键词
