Investigation on Han Xin as Lord Huaiyin

摘要
Abstract
Han Xin is a legendary military strategist in ancient China. In the mammoth Chu War, all⁃powerful Han Xin maneu⁃vered among various political groupings and composed a song of epic grandeur with outstanding wisdom and bold vision, which per⁃formed great historic feats for more than four hundred years’ Han inheritance. From his personal experience of the overthrow of the Qin dynasty and his witnessing of great disorder of under heaven resulting from patriarchal clan system by Xiang Yu, Liu Bang felt great threat from Han Xin, the leader of powerful Special Princes who turned warlord, seizing personal dominions. To consolidate the centralization of authority, Liu Bang cheated and captured Han Xin by employing the scheme of “Pseudo⁃Touring Yunmeng” from Chen Ping in December in the sixth year of Han Gaodi. Han Xin was migrated and knighted as Lord Huaiyin and this was the major measure taken by Liu Bang to cut off Special Princes. This action caused great shock to all the political parties in the western Han dynasty and had a significant impact on political situation in early Western Han Dynasty.关键词
