Analysis on Distribution and Drug Resistance of Pathogens in Children with Urinary Tract Infection

Abstract

Objective To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of pathogens in children with urinary tract infection, in order to provide the basis for clinical rational drug use. Methods Pathogenic bacteria were isolated and cultured from the clean midstream urine samples of children from December 2012 to January 2015 were classified and the drug resistance was analyzed. Results 415 strains of pathogens were isolated, including 254 strains of gram-negative bacteria ( 61. 20% ) , 147 strains of gram-positive bacteria ( 35. 42% ) and 14 strains of fungi ( 3. 37% ) . The top 5 isolation of pathogens were strains of enterococcus, strains of Escherichia coli, strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa, strains of klebsiella pneumoniae and strains of staphylococcus. Gram-positive bacteria was found to be resistant to penicillins and most of cephalosporins, but to be sensitive to carbapenem antibiotics,β-lactams and enzyme inhibitors and aminogly-coside antibiotics. Enterococcus faecium and enterococcus faecalis were found to be resistant to quinolones, penicillins and glycylcycline, but to be sensitive to tigecycline, linezolid and vancomycin. Conclusion Gram-negative bacteria are the main pathogenic bacteria of children urinary tract infection and the multidrug resistance of the pathogenic bacteria is in a very serious situation. Attention should be payed to culture of the clean midstream urine samples of child, and reasonable choice of antibiotic.
