Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of manipulative reduction and splint fixation com?bined with the concept of paying equal attention to the tendon and bone in the treatment of extended distal radi?us fracture. Methods Seventy patiens suffered from extended distal radius fracture were randomly divided in?to two groups: 35 cases in control group and 35 cases in treatment group. The patients in treatment group were treated with manipulative reduction and splint fixation combined with the concept of paying equal attention to the tendon and bone, while those in control group were treated with the same technique for the treatment of the fracture of the plaster cast. The soreness were recorded before treatment, and in 7 and 14 days. After one weeks of external fixation, the efficacy was evaluated by modified Green and Brien O'evaluation criteria. Results The soreness (F=12.421, P=0.029) recorded between the two groups after statistically significant treatment was obviously different. The soreness (t=3.101,P=0.002) in different time between the two groups was also obviously different by the way of repeated measure. The interactive function of the two groups and the process during the treatment can affect the score of soreness (F=3.947,P=0.039). The the Green and Brien O'score in treatment group was better as compared to the control group (Z=-2.291,t=0.018). Green and Brien O'score showed that in the treatment group, 23 cases were excellent, 5 cases were good, 7 cases were moderate, respectively, while in the control group, 9 cases were excellent 15 cases were good ,11 cases moderate, respectively. Conclusion This method plays an important role in pain relief of the injured limb and recovery of the wrist function.关键词
