The Preventive Effects of MaHuangDing on the Complication of Sanders's Ⅲ-Ⅳ Calcaneal Fracture af? ter Surgical Treatment

Abstract
Objective To study the effects of MaHuang Ding on preventing the complication of the patients with the Sanders's Ⅲ-Ⅳ fracture of calcaneus after surgical treatment. Methods A total of 323 of feet from 295 of the patients with SandersⅢ-Ⅳ calcaneal fracture were analyzed prospectively. In the control group, the wound feet were fell after disinfection with iodine, while the feet in the MaHuangDing group were fell with Ma?HuangDing on the wound after disinfection with iodine. At the same time, the patients in both two groups were recieved postoperative rehabilitation care. The healing time points were set up as 12～15 days, 16～19 days and over 20 days and the number of healing feet were counted. Results In MaHuang Ding group, 5 of 165 of feet were found with ,infection, and the two feet were with skin flap necrosis. In the control group, 15 of 158 of feet were found with infection, and 20 of feet were with skin flap necrosis. The number of the healed feet in the Ma?HuangDing group were 85, 63 and 17 at differnt time points of 12～15 days, 16～19 days and over 20 days, re?spectively, while the data were 45, 52 and 61 in the control group. Based on above data, in MaHuangDing group, no matter the infection rate, the rate of skin flap necrosis or healing days were significantly decreased (3.0% VS 9.5%, 1.2% VS 12.7%, respectively) as compared to the control,and even the average healing time was also significantly reduced(12±1d VS 16±2d). Conclusion Wet packing MaHuang Ding on the surface of wound feet is an effective way in preventing the complications of the patients with SandersⅢ-Ⅳ calcaneal frac?tures after a surgical trreatment.关键词
