Abstract
Objective:To observe the influences of Tongdu Tiaoshen method and Shugan Jieyu method on the changes of behavior and hypothalamus -pituitary-adrenal axis in CUMS depressive model rats ,and to investi-gate the differences of two acupuncture methods on the antidepressant function and therapeutic effect .Methods:SD male rats were randomly divided into a normal group and a model group .Depressive model rats were estab-lished by using chronic unpredictable mild stress stimulation combined with lonely breeding .After two weeks , the successful depressive model rats were chosen and randomly divided into a model group ,a western medicine group ,a Tongdu Tiaoshen group and a Shugan Jieyu group .Three treatment groups received relevant treatments for 3 weeks,6 times per week.The rat’s behavior was observed once a week and related hormones of hypothala-mus-pituitary-adrenal axis were detected by radioimmunoassay techniques after 3 weeks.Results:Compared with the normal group ,the body weight ,consumption of sucrose and scores of open -field test of the model group declined significantly on the 14th day after making models and after 3 weeks of the treatment(P<0.05).It was shown that the models were duplicated successfully and stably .Compared with the model group , the body weight,consumption of sucrose and scores of open -field test of two acupuncture groups were significantly in-creased after 3 weeks of the treatment(P<0.05).The result also showed that Tongdu Tiaoshen group was sig-nificantly higher than Shugan Jieyu group on the level movement scores of the open -field test(P<0.05), but other behavioural indicators showed no statistical differences .On the three indexes of CRH hypothalamus , pitui-tary ACTH and adrenal CORT contents , the model group showed no significant increase compared with the nor-mal group after 3 weeks of the treatment ( P<0 .05 ) , but the two acupuncture groups were significantly lower than the model group and there was no statistical difference between two acupuncture groups ( P<0 .05 ) .Con-clusion:The two acupuncture methods can obviously improve the behavioural indicators of depressive model rats.Moreover, Tongdu Tiaoshen method is slightly better than the method of Shugan Jieyu .The two acupunc-ture methods can adjust the hyperactivity of HPA axis , which may be one of the antidepressant mechanisms .关键词
