摘要
Abstract
Invasion and metastasis of tumor cells became critical factors in the prognosis of malignant tumors. In preventing tumor metastasis, extracellular matrix played an important role as a barrier. Its main components, fibronectin and laminin, were con-nected to the cell surface membrane protein receptor, determining the shape of the cells and controlling the cell differentiation and migration. Therefore, the degradation of extracellular matrix and break of basement membrane created adequate condition for tumor cells invasion and metastasis. While matrix metalloproteinases were the most important protein enzymes of degradation of extracel-lular matrix, involved in multiple steps of tumorigenesis, invasion and metastasis. In this article, we mainly summarized the research progress of the extracellular matrix, matrix metalloproteinases and invasion and metastasis of malignant tumor.关键词
