Abstract
Objective To research the expression changes of claudin-4 in malignant endometrium. Methods Randomly selected 40 patients with malignant endometrial surgery, 40 patients with normal endometrium, and 40 patients with hyperplasia of endometrium as the research objects. The protein expressions of claudin-4 were detected by immunohistochemical method. And the claudin-4 levels were compared and observed. The correlation of claudin-4 expression and clinical features were also analyzed. Results In this study, the propor-tions of no staining, weak staining, moderate staining, strong staining of claudin-4 protein immunohistochemical expression of normal group were significantly different with those of atypical hyperplasia group and malignant group (P﹤0.05). The proportions of moderate staining and strong staining of claudin-4 protein immunohistochemical expression also had statistical difference between atypical hyperplasia group and malignant group (P﹤0.05). In addition, the proportions of no staining, weak staining, moderate staining and strong staining of merely hyperplasia group and complex hyperplasia group were statistically different with those of the malignant group (P﹤0.05). In the pairwise comparison of the claudin-4 expressions, there were also significant differences between the three groups (P﹤0.05). In malignant group, the claudin-4 levels in highly, moderately and poorly differentiated group were respectively (175.4±12.3), (201.43±21.37) and (219.56±15.32). It presented an increasing trend along with the increase of pathological grade. Patients with different pathological stages had different clau-din-4 levels and claudin-4 mRNA expressions. There were no statistical differences in claudin-4 levels between phaseⅠand phaseⅡ(P﹥0.05) and between phaseⅢand phaseⅡ(P﹥0.05), but there was difference between phaseⅠand phaseⅢ(P﹤0.05). Conclusion Claudin-4 played a certain role in malignant endometrial transformation and development. Along with the malignant degree of pathological changes, the claudin-4 expression levels increased.关键词
