Late Carboniferous-Permian Tectono-Geographical Conditions and Development in Eastern Inner Mengolia and Adjacent Areas

Abstract
In order to build the tectono-stratigraphical framework and facies sequences of different geographical units in eastern Inner Mongolia and the adjacent areas,this study discussed the constraints of fossil-community ecology,organic-building distribution and tectonic over the environments.Paleo-geographical environment and evolution of eastern Inner Mongolia and its adjacent areas can be divided into three stages:the Paleo-Asian Ocean stage in Late Carboniferous-Early Permian,the Xing-Meng marine-trough stage in Middle Permian,and the Xing-Meng expanded marine-trough stage in Late Permian.The tectono-geographical patterns were controlled by two faults and separated into three parts.The south of the Solun Shan-Xilamulun fault belonged to North China Plate,while the north of the Chagan Aobao-Arongqi fault to the south margin of Siberia Platform.The area between two faults included ocean and then shrank to marine troughs,in which some mediate masses were scattered,such as the Hegenshan Mass,the Solunshan-Huanggangliang united mass and the Jiamusi Mass etc.Each mass accreted to platform margins at different times.Discovery of Late Permian reefs and marine fossils in the Linxi area indicates that large scale volcano eruptions occurred in the Madatun period,and the P/T disconformity exposed at the Balinyou Flag of Inner-Mongolia and the Jiutai County of Jilin also shows that the Xing-Meng trough was finally closed at the Late Permian accompanied with regional folding and uplifting.关键词
