摘要

Abstract

Facing the worldwide climate change and energy crisis, the importance of low-carbon transition is undoubted, especialy in the urban energy system. This paper mainly concentrates on the theoretical framework of social-technical energy transition for the eco-city and its integration with UK energy system: the discussion of the levels and pathways of system transition together with its application in the low-carbon energy system is given first, folowed by the description of British transition directions within the energy sector and the significance of Energy Service Company (ESCo) in the ecological transition progress.
