弥漫性星形细胞瘤的MRI表现与病理分析
Analysis of MRI manifestations and pathological features of diffuse astrocytoma

Abstract
Objective: To improve the level of diagnosis before operation, MRI features of diffuse astrocytoma were investigated. Methods: 52 patients with diffuse astrocytoma proved by surgical and pathology were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The lesion of each patient was single and 49 supratentorial cases were noted (1 lesion located in saddle area,27 located in one lobes,13 located in the frontal lobes, 8 located in the temporal lobes, and 6 located in the parietal and occipital lobes. 21 located in two or more lobes. 7 involved corpus callosum, 2 involved thalamus). 3 cases located in infratentosial. MRI findings of diffuse astrocytomas included 3 types:irregular patchy, cystic, mass-like lesions. Most lesions showed mild peritumoral edema and occupied effect and demonstrated non-enhanced or slightly enhanced images. Conclusion: MRI appearances of diffuse astrocytoma have certain common characters. Diagnosis can be made confidently when the morphology, peritumoral edema, occupied effect, and enhancement features are all considered.关键词
