泸州市医务人员对医疗废弃物认知现状调查
Survey of the current status of cognition level on medical wastes in hospital staff in Luzhou

Abstract
Objective To investigate the knowledge in hospital staff about medical waste disposal in Luzhou, and to provide theoretical basis for the relevant departments to intensify the management and supervision for med-ical waste disposal. Methods: 600 medical staff at different levels in hospitals were investigated with a self-de-signed questionnaire using stratified random sampling. The valid questionnaires were 528 and the effective rate reached 88.00%. ResultsThe awareness rate about medical waste management in hospital staff was 62.31%(369/568),which increased gradually with the increased ranking of the hospitals (χ2trend=15.194,P= 0.002), with the highest (80.43%)for university affiliated hospitals and the lowest (58.67%)in township hospitals;the awareness rate is different among hospital staff at different posts (χ2=35.085, P=0.000),with the highest (85.71%)in di-rectors of medical waste department and the lowest (46.15%)in patient care departments,and the awareness rate was significantly different among hospital staff from different departments (χ2 = 14.185,P= 0.007), with infec-tious department the highest(81.32%), and radiology department the lowest(62.24%). ConclusionThe cognitive level about medical waste management in hospital staff in Luzhou is relatively lower, hospitals and the supervision department should strengthen the training program to reduce health damage and environmental pollution caused by medical waste.关键词
