Evaluation of landslide stability based on fuzzy mathematics and limit equilibrium method

Abstract
The fuzziness of landslide stability evaluation, such as the fuzziness of mechanical parameters, influential factors and evaluation criteria, etc. , requires the use of uncertainty analysis method, or more specifically, fuzzy mathematics to evaluate landslide stability. As the identification of membership function and weight distribution obtained by mathematics fuzziness method has a qualitative characteristic, which may affect the objectivity of the evaluation result, however the limit equilibrium method as a quantitative method through the establishment of the expression of stability factors is combined with the former method. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to reveal the fuzziness of landslide stability, while limit equilibrium method is used to reveal the nature of the stable state of the landslide. The results show that the application of these two methods is in line with the engineering practice, and their combination and complementary effect can bring about more reasonable evaluation results.关键词
