Abstract
Objective:To observe the influence of replacement frequency of ventilator pipe on pipe bacterial colo-nization in elderly patients with mechanical ventilation.Methods:A total of 64 cases of elderly patients with me-chanical ventilation were selected in our hospital,and were randomly divided into 14 d group and 28 d group by using the lottery method,and then to compare the respiratory secretions bacterial colonization conditions and the incidence of VAP of different parts of ventilator pipes and different mechanical ventilation time between both groups.Results:There was no statistically significant difference in respiratory tract secretions bacterial coloniza-tion and the incidence of VAP in different parts of ventilator pipes and different mechanical ventilation time be-tween two groups (P >0.05).Conclusion:It was also safe to replace a pipeline for interval 28 days in the elderly patients with long term mechanical ventilation by using a disposable closed double heating ventilator wet pipe system.关键词
