摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between the carotid arterial intima-media thickness(IMT) and diabet ic retinopathy(DR) in the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods A total of 95 inpatients with T2DM in our hospital from June 2012 to June 2014 were selected as the study group,which was re-divided into the DR group(DR) and non-DR group(NDR) according to whether having typical ocular fundus changes and also re-divided into the normal IMT group and in-creased IMT group according to whether ITM being thickened. Contemporaneous 90 normal people undergoing the healthy physi-cal examination were selected as the control group. The two groups received the eyes fundus color radiography inspection and IMT measurement by professionals. Results Compared with the control group ,IMT in the study group was thickened with statistical difference(P<0.01);average IMT in the DR group was higher than that in the NDR group,the DR occurrence rate in the thickened IMT group was higher than that in the normal IMT group with statistical difference (P<0.05 or<0.01). Conclusion The average carotid arterial IMT in the patients with T2DM is higher than that in healthy people and the correlation may exist between DR and IMT in T2DM patients.关键词
