摘要

Abstract

With the advantages of guiding the reasonable power flow and improving the voltage support ability, a new pattern called ultra high voltage direct current (UHVDC) hierarchical connection (HC) to AC grid will be widely applied in the new built large capacity UHVDC projects in China. The huge capacity of power will be absorbed in the same terminal location under the new connection mode, and the problems about the absorbing ability of receiving system is in need of research urgently. Based on the actual UHVDC HC project, the paper established the equivalent model of AC/DC system under HC mode, and then presented the improved definition of hierarchical connection short circuit ratio (HCSCR) under the analysis of influencing factors. Furthermore, how absorbing ability of receiving system affected by HCSCR was analyzed. At last, the criteria of the strength of receiving system under HC mode was given by calculating the hierarchical connection critical short circuit ratio (HCCSCR) and hierarchical connection boundary short circuit ratio (HCBSCR).
