Role of microRNA in cancer drug resistance
摘要
Abstract
Chemotherapy is one of the primary treatments for malignant tumors, however, the efficacy is often limited by the existence or deve-lopment of chemoresistance.MicroRNAs recently emerge as a novel class of gene expression modulators by post-transcriptional regulations, inclu-ding cell proliferation, apoptosis, tumor vessels generation, tumor cell invasion and metastasis, and other physiological and pathological proce-sses.Significant amount of studies showed dysregulation of miRNAs is associated with the initiation and progression of cancers, and abnormal regulation of target genes by microRNA is responsible for tumor chemore-sistance.Therefore, the study of microRNA and tumor resistance to chemotherapy has profound practical significance.In this review, we briefly summarized the current development and regulation of tumor drug resistance by microRNA.The potential application of miRNA as a thera-peutic target was also discussed.关键词
