Abstract
This paper proposes the use of a single photonic crystal ( PC ) moth-eye structure to improve LED light extract efficiency in a wide frequency range, the main idea is to optimize the structural parameters so that both mechanisms of PC multiple wave-vector coupling and moth-eye gradually-varied refractive index in wide frequency range could work together very well.Based on numerical experiments with finite-difference time-domain method, we optimize the structural parameters of PC moth-eye structure, and finally get a simple structure with higher extract efficiency for RGB full color LED.Its average extract efficiency could be six times higher than the traditional without-surface-structure LED in a very wide frequency range. With these values, the structure has great potential for industrial applications.关键词
