Abstract

Dual-polarized antennas have aroused much attention in wireless communication systems due to the excel-lent performance of polarization diversity.Therefore,a broadband dual-polarized microstrip slot antenna with high port isola-tion is proposed.Two feeder lines of different structures are employed to excite the horizontal and vertical polarization modes and obtain high port isolation.Furthermore,the broadband and miniaturization characteristics of the antenna are achieved by etching slots on the ground plane.The simulation results indicate that the bandwidth of port 1 and port 2 are 5 1%and 62%respectively,and the port isolation is higher than 40 dB from 1.71GHz to 2.69GHz.It has a simple structure and is suitable for practical applications of mobile communications.
