Bi-level Optimization Model of Two-stage Reserve Scheduling with Proactive Wind Power Control

Abstract
The active power regulation and the reserve capacity of wind turbines in the de-loading operation mode are first discussed.And the wind power de-loading ratio is introduced to quantitatively describe the wind power reserve level.A bi-level optimization model of two-stage reserve scheduling with proactive power de-loading control of wind turbines is then proposed. The upper level model is developed to minimize the total system scheduling cost at the pre-scheduling stage.The lower level model is developed to minimize the deviation of power generation between the real-time stage and the pre-scheduling stage.The upper and the lower levels are coupled via the wind power de-loading ratio.Further,by introducing the KKT condition,the bi-level model can be transformed into a single-level optimization model for easy solution.Finally,the effectiveness of the model is validated by using a modified IEEE 6-generator and 30-bus system.The results show that the wind power de-loading operation is able to reduce the scheduled reserve capacities of conventional units and suppress the wind power fluctuation,while enhancing the overall economic performance of the system with wind power.关键词
