Abstract
Radio interference generated by transmission lines' corona goes up with increase of voltage level, becoming a decisive factor in choosing ultra high voltage (UHV) power transmission line. As excitation function used in foreign countries is not completely suitable for China's national conditions, forecast of radio interference level is not very accurate at present. Based on corona discharge mechanism, a test scheme with UHV corona cage for radio interference is proposed. Radio interference experiments are carried out and measuring results for different kinds of conductors are analyzed. A new excitation function under heavy rain condition is proposed based on the study and an operating UHV power transmission project is chosen as example to verify rationality and validity of the proposed excitation function. Results show that compared to excitation function recommended by International Special Committee on Radio Interference, radio interference level obtained with the proposed excitation function is closer to long-term observation data. The proposed excitation function is applicable for prediction of radio interference level of UHV AC transmission line with six or more bundled conductors, providing basis for optimized conductor selection and engineering cost control.关键词
