摘要

Abstract

Interfacial transition zone (ITZ) is considered as the weakest link in concrete, and has a critical impact on the performance of concrete. Recent research results regarding spatial scale, microhardness, porosity, hydration production and unhydrated particles were analyzed comprehensively. It is estimated that the composition and microstructure of ITZ could be affected by water-cement ratio, setting time, the type or surface of aggregate and admixtures. In addition, some numerical simulation methods for the volume fraction of ITZ and its influence on the mechanical and transport properties of concrete were reviewed. In addition, the future research was pointed out via comparing different theoretical models.
