Abstract
Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) is a kind of antioxidative enzymes which is the rate-limiting enzyme of heme degradation and produces biliru-bin, carbon monoxide (CO), and iron. HO-1 plays a variety of biological functions in the body, its protective mechanism relates undoubtedly to various kinds of metabolites produced in catabolism, but the exact mechanism remains unknown. With the deepening of the study, the correlation between HO-1 and tumor gradually increased, indicating that the tumor closely involved in the regulation of tumor cell proliferation and other processes. hTis article is a review mainly on the apoptosis of HO-1.关键词
