The Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Triticum aestivum-Agropyron elongatum with Chinese Spring Background under Different Nitrogen Treatments

Abstract
The nitrogen(N)use efficiency was studied with one set of the disomic substitution lines and di-somic addition lines of Triticum aestivum L.cv.Chinese Spring(CS)-Agropyron elongatum (Host)under high and low N levels.The 5E genomes of Agropyron elongatum might confer high N physiological efficiency genes because the substitution and addition lines of 5E achieved remarkable higher N physiological efficiency values than Chinese Spring in low and high N treatment,respectively.The 4E genomes of Agropyron elongatum might confer high N absorption and transfer efficient genes because the substitution line of 4E achieved significantly higher values of total N accumulation and grain N content than Chinese Spring in high and low N treatments.Therefore,the chromosomes of 5E and 4E of Agropyron elongatum would be useful genetic resources to improve wheat N efficient features.关键词
